                Unit Title: Geography of Arkansas

                      Unit Time Frame: 2-3 Weeks

Unit Overview:
The students will examine the tools used by geographers,
past and present, to develop maps. Additionally, this unit will
focus on the political, economic, geographic, and
social characteristics of the regions of Arkansas.

The 6 regions of Arkansas:
Ozark Plateau
Arkansas River Valley
Ouachita Mountains
Crowley’s Ridge
Mississippi Alluvial Plain
West Gulf Coastal Plain

Compare and contrast tools used by geographers,
past and present, to develop maps.
